This is the stable release for everyday use. Insiders and Beta users can also try v1.106.81, which adds Assistants Directory.
- Guided first-run — From the web to your first Assistant in one flow
- Smarter documents — PDFs and Office files read as text, with more than one step at a time
- Templates as skills — Output templates live next to your other skills
New desktop installs walk you through language, sign-in, personalization, creating your first Assistant, and a short chat guide. Finish personalizing on the web and Cortex carries that first task into the desktop tour — no extra setup screens in between.
Output templates are now skill packages. Give them a display name, keep them next to your other skills, and reuse them without hunting through a separate templates folder.
Cortex now reads PDFs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as text you can search and work with, and can take more than one step at a time on document-heavy tasks.
